The letters are based on the motif of "karuta," a Japanese traditional poem.
As the characters represent the falling cherry blossoms, I scattered cherry blossoms in the design of this piece.

ShopThe wooden vessels I make are carved from wood using a wood turning machine and finished with a coat of lacquer. Photographs cannot show all of the grain of the wood, so we encourage you to hold the piece in your hand to appreciate the beauty of the grain.
